About Share Our Strength
Share Our Strength®, a national nonprofit, is ending childhood hunger in America by connecting children with the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives. Share Our Strength ensures children in need are enrolled in effective federal nutrition programs, invests in community organizations fighting hunger, teaches families how to cook healthy, affordable meals, and builds public-private partnerships to end hunger, at the state and city level.

Improve access to public and private programs that provide food to families and children who need it and are not receiving it
Strengthen community resources that connect children to healthy food where they live, learn and play

Dine Out For No Kid Hungry
Dine Out For No Kid HungryTM is a national event that brings together thousands of restaurants and millions of consumers to help make sure no child in America grows up hungry. Participating restaurants raise funds in a variety of ways to support the No Kid Hungry® Campaign, Share Our Strength’s national fundraising effort to end childhood hunger in America. The Need
More than 16 million children are at risk of hunger in America, a number higher than ever before. In fact, nearly one in five kids can’t count on getting the food they need
Families are struggling to put food on the table as unemployment rates, food, and fuel costs remain high.
